Not too long ago, MSI introduced its ultrathin laptop called the X-Slim X600. With a thickness of just 0.75 inches, people are baffled how MSI was able to stuff all those powerhouse features in that compact body.
We are talking about the low-power 1.4GHz Core 2 Solo SU3500 processor, a multimedia-friendly graphics processing unit in the form of ATI 512MB Radeon HD 4330, and a 500GB hard drive. It also offers WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI output, and an Ethernet connection. And at a price of $799, critics such as Laptop Mag called the MSI X-Slim X600 a worth-to-buy item.
However, they also noted that if you prefer an ultrathin laptop with Blu-ray or one with better horsepower, you might as well turn your head to competing models such as the Sony VAIO NW or the Gateway NV. Still, the MSI X-Slim S600 can be hard to resist if you prefer style over substance.
