News has been circulating that Motorola’s touch-screen smartphone named "Atila" would be launched initially in China before it becomes available to the rest of the world. Also called Motorola A3000, the Atila is said to have been certified for use by China’s telecommunications authority.

What is it about Motorola Atila that makes the techies want to go crazy? For one, it contains a 528MHz processor, one of the fastest processors available. It is expected to run on Windows Mobile 6.5, featuring Bluetooth connectivity, GPS navigation, MicroSDHC card slot, a QVGA color display, and Wi-Fi.

Unlike the iPhone, the Motorola A3000 has a well-rounded shape, with a really thin body. According to Chinese documents, dimensions are said to be 110 x 60 x 13.7 millimeters, with a weight of 120 grams. Meanwhile, the QVGA screen is said to be able to support up to 16 million colors. Chinese documents further stated that the new Motorola A3000 supports all four GSM bands, as well as providing data support from GPRS and EDGE class 12th.

However, it could be a clerical error because the current available OS is Windows Mobile 6.1 and that version can only support 65,000 colors. The display is said to be active TFT and has actual dimensions of 71.5 x 50.9 millimeters. Another issue is that China does not allow Wi-Fi or 3G.
