LG Partners with Verizon Wireless for New Smartphone

LG Mobile Phones and Verizon Wireless have announced the product of their union: The LG Ally, the first Android device from LG, promises 3G speeds.

The Ally smartphone includes a 3.2-inch tempered glass as touch screen, full-sized QWERTY keyboard, 3.2-megapixel camera with auto-focus and camcorder., microSD slot, EiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, built-in MP3 and WMA music player, and speaker-independent voice commands. Other specs include customizable home screens, proximity sensor, and integrated image editor.

The LG Ally will be available for pre-order at VerizonWireless.com starting March 13, with pricing at US$99.99 after a $100 main-in rebate with a two-year contract.
