While we continue to speculate whether LG will unveil a curved smartphone of its own, let’s talk about what the South Korean company has officially launched. The mid-range LG G Pro Lite features a 5.5-inch screen with 960 x 540 resolution and a 3140mAh battery.

While the aforementioned features sound impressive, the rest of the specs are not as stellar. It has a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and an 8-megapixel back camera.

The LG G Pro Lite runs on Android 4.1.2, which is an older version of Jelly Bean that has recently marked its first year. It also comes with an embedded stylus pen, stereo speakers, and a dual-SIM card slot, which is why this device has a dedicated hotkey to switch from one SIM card to another. (The dual-SIM capability is a clear indication the LG Pro Lite is aimed at markets outside the United States.)

Measuring 5.9 x 3 x 0.37 inches, the 5.7-ounce LG G Pro Lite is available in black or white. This device will initially be available in Latin America within this month, and it will roll over to Asia (including China and India), Russia, and the Middle East in the weeks (or months) after.
