Hard drive manufacturer LaCie recently added to its mobile hard drive line.
The Rugged XL, which looks just like the original, is designed with aluminum casing for protection, and comes equipped with internal and external shock absorbers, and heat dispersing features. It also has a cool LED strip to let you know of drive status.
The Neil Poulton designed Rugged XL is a single 1TB drive which comes equipped with an easy plug & play setup, a setup assistant that allows customizable formatting, high-speed USB 2.0. A speedy eSATA 3GB/s interface handles backups, while a backup assistant allows for automatic backups for PC & Mac users.
LaCie’s Rugged XL portable hard drive is available for $159.99.
