If there is one thing the Internet loves, it is cats and this app-connected device would be a hoot to millions of cat owners. Kittyo may look like a coffee maker, but it is actually a monitoring device with a webcam and treat dispenser.
Before others would dismiss the Kittyo, saying any other home monitoring device would work just as fine. But what they do not know is that Kittyo has a feature that is targets house cats specifically: laser beams! Owners can check out the device’s compatible app and swipe the screen to move the laser beam accordingly and watch their cats play with the tiny light.
Kittyo also allows owners to keep tabs on their kitties, as well as drop pellets of dry cat food, whether they are at work or on a holiday.
The support has been overwhelming. Its Kickstarter campaign, which was launched three days ago, has exceeded its $30,000 funding goal by almost 400%. Interested backers can still pledge at least $119 to get their own Kittyo by November 2014. Retail price, according to the company, will be $189.
