Kingston 96GB Solid State Drive Unveiled

Flash card extraordinaire Kingston comes up with a 96GB version of its SSDNew V+100, which they claim offers a 25 percent increase in performance on existing V+ units. The solid state drive also features an “always-on” garbage collection feature that aims to clean redundant data from the drive and prevent performance degradation. Don’t worry, the garbage collection feature runs independently from the OS, working with both modern, TRIM-supporting systems like Windows 7, as well as on older OS like Windows Vista and XP.

The Kingston 96GB SSDNew V+100 is available at manufacturer’s suggested retail price of US$290, while the 64GB version costs $220, and the 512GB model can be yours for $1,900.
