A Japanese tech site claims that this is the upcoming Nintendo 3DS, but we will take that announcement with a grain of salt. Why? It looks odd, for one.
True, its supposed features are laudable: an autostereoscopic touchscreen display with 854 x 512 resolution, rotating screen, WiMAX, WiFi, and an optional keyboard. It is said that it can even generate 3D objects in an augmented reality mode with the help of two rear-facing cameras and sensor.
However, the controls look narrower and difficult to hold with two hands, not to mention the singular rotating screen. It is like a mix between GameBoy Advance and Nokia’s swivel phone.
We will just have to wait for E3 a few weeks from now and see whether Nintendo will introduce this as the Nintendo 3DS.
