iRobot Scooba 230 Floor Mopping Robot

It is certainly interesting that people can now use robots to do some of the housework nowadays. They may not yet look like those conventional humanoid robots that you see in the movies, but the robots that do some of the housework today may just be as effective. One such example is the iRobot Scooba 230, the floor mopping robot.

The iRobot Scooba 230 is somewhat the relative of the Roomba Robot Vacuum. But this time, the Scooba 230 can be used to clean and wash even wet floor areas like bathrooms, kitchens, and toilet and even under cabinets. It features a 3-stage cleaning system that washes, scrubs and then squeegee vacuum dirty water as it goes. It uses a natural enzyme cleaning formula that can neutralize 97 percent of household germs. At just 6.5 inches in diameter, the Scooba 230 also has the same features as the Roomba in terms of having sensors that allows it to survey the area it cleans, avoid barriers and drop offs as well as thoroughly cleans areas it is supposed to clean. The Scooba 230 is available at iRobot for US$300. The Natural Enzyme formula it uses for cleaning dirt and grime costs US$12.
