The next generation of iPhones is expected to be installed with “wave and pay” technology, which would predictably boost mobile commerce and income for Apple.
The iPhone 5 is expected to be released this year and will incorporate a technology called Near-Field Communication, which integrates specific devices with financial account information. This means that when buying items at the grocery, for instance, all you have to do is to wave the phone in front of a sensor to pay, either through credit or debit. This bit of info was revealed by Asian suppliers who have been in talks with Apple.
The multi-billion dollar company, however, declined to comment.
