Internet Explorer 9 Beta Released

With much excitement, Microsoft unveils the latest version of Internet Explorer browser today, but not before new leaks have sprouted to give people an idea what the Internet Explorer 9 looks like.

The video, which you can watch here, supposedly shows the browser’s new logo and user interface. The source of the clip (IEBest.com) even brags that they also have an IE9 Beta installer, which they released two days ahead of the Microsoft launch.

The look of IE9 is just like its preceding versions, but this time Microsoft promises a more efficient and better-performing browser. The proof was actually shown in the leaked video, when the browser earned a score of 95/100 on the Acid3 test. Technically, it failed the test, but considering how IE8 scored 20/100, the IE9 is a definite improvement.

You can now download your copy of Internet Explorer 9 as a public beta. The download site is in Russian, though, but navigable enough for English readers. Note that IE9 is only compatible to Windows Vista and 7.
