Husqvarna Robot Lawnmower Controllable Via iPhone

Mowing the lawn may no longer become an ordinary activity when a Husqvarna Robotic Lawnmower is used. Now that a robot vacuum has become quite known, why not a robot lawnmower? And so Husqvarna has come up with a number of robot lawn mower models that are designed to mow lawns without the need of the owner to exert to much effort as the device does it all on its own. And now a new Husqvarna 260 ACX model is being introduced that will allow users to even control it via iPhone.

The new Husqvarna 260 ACX Automower will be equipped with a GPS Communication Unit that will allow users to remotely start and stop the robotic lawnmower via the iPhone. An iPhone app can be installed that will allow future Husqvarna 260 ACX owners to start, stop and keep track of their robot lawnmowers even when they are not at home.

There’s no word yet on when the new Husqvarna 260 ACX will be made available. Other 2011 Husqvarna Automower models may be able to take advantage of a similar feature by purchasing a GPS Communication Unit separately. This convenient option may come at a cost, as the Husqvarna 260 ACX is expected to cost around the range of US$5000.
