Huawei Ascend P6 Touted As The World’s Slimmest Smartphone

Smartphones nowadays come in different forms and sizes. It is no longer much of a battle for getting the smallest mobile phone out in the market. What most smartphone makers compete for attention these days revolves around screen size, performance and looks. More and more people are looking for smartphones with wider display screens and yet, can still come in handy. While going small no longer cuts it, some makers vie to make their phones slimmer and thinner instead. Recently, Huawei introduced its new Ascend P6 smartphone to the public, touting it as currently the slimmest smartphone in the world.

The Huawei Ascend P6 comes in at a slim 6.18mm profile and weighs around just 120 grams. Yet, it comes with powerful features that makes it more than just an ordinary mobile phone. It runs on a 1.5GHz quad-core processor. Despite the slim profile, the smartphone comes with a 4.7-inch HD in-cell display enhanced with Magic Touch technology for better touchscreen responsiveness even when users are wearing gloves.

The Huawei Ascend P6 also comes with an 8MP rear camera complemented by a 5MP front digital camera. The mobile phone supports 1080p Full HD video recording and playback. It also runs using an Android 4.2 OS. Power comes from its 2000mAh rechargeable battery. The Huawei Ascend P6 comes as the next generation of the very popular Ascend P Series of mobile phones from the Chinese phone maker. It is expected to come out sometime this month in the Chinese market. It will be available in Europe sometime in July. There are no pricing details provided for the smartphone as of the moment.
