HTC kicks off the annual IFA with its new line of mobile products, starting with a budget smartphone. The Android-powered HTC Desire 300 sports a 4.3-inch WVGA display with 216 pixels per inch, dual-core processor, a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus at the back, and a VGA front-facing camera.

Despite being an entry-level device, HTC has managed to sneak in its propriety BlinkFeed news and social aggregator into the Desire 300. It also comes with an unspecified dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, a humble 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD card).

The HTC Desire 300 is set to be available for retail on October 2013. No specific details on pricing and where in the world HTC will first offer this budget smartphone.
