Hanvon Unveils First Color E-Ink Reader

Hanvon participates in this year’s CES as it teases to the public what is thought to be the world’s first color e-ink reader, the E920. The 9.7-inch panel offers a spectacular 1200 x 1600 resolution on its resistive touch screen, which means users would have to rely on its integrated stylus for navigation.

People of Engadget have gotten their hands on the gadget and are so far unimpressed with its muted colors and a mediocre LCD. Another down side is that the Hanvon E920 may take quite a while, May at the earliest, before it will become available in China. It is expected to cost US$500-ish.
