Google Strikes a Deal with Verizon Wireless that Violates Net Neutrality

It looks like Google‘s “Do No Evil” motto flies off the window as news spreads about the company’s partnership with Verizon that, according to reports, would have the latter prioritize Internet traffic. This means that it might encourage websites to pay Verizon a certain amount of money for it to load faster than its rivals.

It was as if the two companies have forgotten that last year, they pledge to the FCC to keep the Internet open. Google has posted its side of the issue via Twitter, saying that the reports are false. Verizon also denies the claims and says that the there is no such deal.
