Google has formally introduced its upcoming Nexus S smartphone from Samsung. Features include a 4-inch WVGA touch screen display, tri-band HSPA with AWS support, 5-megapixel camera, 16GB of onboard storage, 512MB of RAM, a gyroscope, integrated VoIP support, and Android Gingerbread. It is also said that the phone would run on a 1GHz Cortex A8-based Hummingbird processor.
The Nexus S will be available for purchase “after December 16” online, as well as on Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores, either unlocked for US$529 or with a T-Mobile plan for $199. Meanwhile, customers in the United Kingdom can have their own Nexus S “after December 20” at Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy UK.
