Gesture Remote is like Magic for TV

This concept design could earn interest from leading electronic companies. With so many buttons on your remote control, wouldn’t it be nice to go back to basics? The Gesture Remote consists of a attractively designed trackpad that allows intuitive gestures and movement to command your television. For instance, slide the thumb upwards to move the EPG up, while tap the remote with our thumb to select a certain program. See the demo here.

Although the design is noble, the Gesture Remote’s lack of direct input buttons could hurt the gadget’s efficiency. Also, users would have to memorize all the gesture commands.
