Free Apps from Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

It’s cool that there are some scripts or plug-ins which we can use for programs like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. They can either make things simpler for us and even make work entertaining at that. Below are some of the scripts available for Adobe Illustrator and plug-ins for Adobe Photoshop.

Pixel Bender

This app allows you to make filters in Photoshop CS4. With simple aid from C-like language, you can develop filters that run fast since the language itself is GPU-accelerated .

Richard Rosenman Filters

This contains several freeware plugins. You can make 3D spheres, calibration bars, grids, various types of grain for the images and even simulating a monitor. You can even make images tiled or give it a pixelated effect. This is one cool plug-in you have here. All you have to do is check it out.

Flaming Pear Freebies

This one is cool since it allows you to make effects ranging from abstract gray patterns, make lines appear as if they are blood veins, to imitating effects you get from 80s computer graphics.

Photoshop Fun 3

This has four plug-ins all in all. It allows you to make pixel snow, mirror, warping and shadow effects. However, you have to have an Adobe ID to download it. Good thing you can request it for free.

Scripts available from Adobe Illustrator

Ribbonizer. This allows you to generate ribbons in random.

Random Select. This allows you to randomize a specific selection through the amount of selection you have made.

Making conical labels. This allows you to make label that will fit on a conical image or such.

Carlo Borodulin. This one is shaped like a chainsaw, because it is a chainsaw.

Artboard Coords. This is a floating palette which shows the coordinates in relation to the active art board. Also, it facilitates the creation of new art boards.
