The most successful soccer video game franchise rolls out Tuesday in North America. There is absolutely no excuse not to play FIFA 14 as it is available on current and upcoming platforms except for Wii U. Bloop.
FIFA 14 is available on PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360, with eventual roll out for PC, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. But what is most exciting about this new soccer game is the inclusion of the iOS and Android versions, which you can both download for free.
Just like its predecessor last year, FIFA 14 covers 33 leagues (including English Premier League, La Liga, and Bundesliga), more than 600 licensed teams, and over 16,000 players. Game is controlled through a new intuitive touch command system, such as tapping a team mate to pass the ball or flicking the screen to shoot. Plus, you can also enjoy playing the game as you listen to multilingual commentaries.
Unlike its console versions, the FIFA 14 app lets you keep updated with your favorite team with Match Day Madness. Any team updates from injuries to suspensions and formation changes are reflected in-game, providing a much deeper user experience.
In the Ultimate Team mode, the app allows you to create your own fantasy team, as well as buy, sell, and trade players. Give your custom team their own play style, formation, and even kits. Earn in-game coins through competing in tournaments and spend them on new players and team-improving items.
The Online Multiplayer mode lets you compete with friends anytime and anywhere. You can even share highlights from the game online via the Instant Replay.
Take not the FIFA 14 apps allows in-app purchases to access additional modes like Manager, Tournament, and Kick-Off. At 1.35GB, make sure you have lots of space before downloading the app.
