If you love Facebook, but dread the memes and selfies your friends post, perhaps you need this new app made by Facebook.

Paper is a news-consumption app, similar to the likes of Flipboard, Feedly, and Zite. It will be available for iPhones users in the United States beginning February 3, while other versions will roll out eventually.

Facebook Paper gathers longer-form content from your News Feed and turn them around into an attractive, magazine-style layout, encouraging users to linger over different stories and images.

On its website, Facebook says Paper “makes storytelling more beautiful with an immersive design and fullscreen, distraction-free layouts.”

“We’ve also made it easier to craft and share beautiful stories of your own.”

The Facebook Paper does not have all the functions of the native Facebook app, but it still displays your friend’s posts, as well as stories from other news organizations, in a slicker design. The News Feed section will feature a new way to view photos and videos, as well as the ability to read longer written articles straight from the app.

The app will be the first product from Facebook’s Creative Labs, which focuses on developing on new mobile apps for Facebook.
