Even Nintendo Wii Celebrates Mario's 25 Years

In celebration of Mario’s 25 years, Nintendo introduces a special-edition Wii that is painted red. Apart from the new color, the Mario-fied Nintendo Wii comes with a set of Wii Remote Plus controllers, an updated nunchuck controller, and a pre-installed copy of Super Mario Bros. 25th Anniversay Edition. It is just like the vintage Mario game, but with the prize boxes now with “25” emblazoned on them instead of question marks. (

The red Nintendo Wii for Mario is expected to be available in Japan by November 11, costing 20,000 yen (about US$241). That better arrive in North America.
