Details of Nokia Lumia 1020 Leaked

Details of Nokia upcoming flagship Windows Phone mobile device has been leaked ahead of its official launch. WPCentral posts new rendered images of the Nokia Lumia 1020, along with some interesting information about the smartphone’s whopping 41-megapixel camera.

The Nokia Lumia 1020, also known by its code name “Nokia 909,” is said to be packed with an f/2.2 lens and an ability to, according to WPCentral, “take the image in a 32MP and 5MP at the same time in 16:9 (aspect ratio).” The device can also “shoot 38MP in 4:3.” It will also sport optical image stabilization, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (no microSD card slot), FM radio, NFC capability, and an optional wireless charging backplate.

The Nokia Lumia 1020 is expected to be available by end-July through AT&T, with Microsoft Stores receiving shipments on July 22. The smartphone is reported to be priced at $602 (if unsubsidized) and will be available in three colors: white, black, and yellow. As for international availability, it has been reported that consumers in United Kingdom will be able to grab them soon. No word yet on other markets.

With the current trend of using smartphones more as a photo-sharing device than an actual phone, will the Nokia Lumia 1020 be able to capture the American market with a 41-megapixel camera phone? We just have to wait a few days to find out.
