Dell Inspiron Mini Nickelodeon Edition

Dell Inspiron Mini Nickelodeon Edition

After ASUS introduced a netbook with fun Disney themes, it is time for Dell to reveal to the public its very own netbook that caters to kids.  And it would not be long before they would come up with it.

The Dell Inspiron Mini Nickelodeon Edition combines the power and portability of a netbook with the slimy goodness that has delighted kids for generations.  The slime finish on the bezel, as well as a variety of Nickelodeon-themed programs and applications, makes this netbook interestingly eye-catching.  If you do not dig the slime, thought, fret not because upcoming designs include Spongebob SquarePants and iCarly.  It weighs just less than three pounds, making it convenient for kids to carry it anywhere.

There is not much information about the specifications of the Dell Inspiron Mini Nickelodeon Edition, but it is speculated that this netbook is most likely run by an Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB RAM, and an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam.  The netbook also contains a loadful of parental control software courtesy of McAfee.  It is a trial version, however, but a good 15 months worth of trial software would give you enough time to save on some money to buy the full version.  The Dell Inspiron Mini Nickelodeon Edition is also packed with educational applications, as well as exclusive access on some of your favorite Nick shows before they air on TV.

Parents can avail of the Dell Inspiron Mini Nickelodeon Edition on Dell’s online store and at Walmart beginning October 2009.  Although the price is not yet revealed, it will most likely cost similar to a Dell Mini 10v-around $300.
