Budget iPhone Pics Leaked

Budget iPhone leak

There have been rumors about Apple making a budget iPhone. Apple executives have dismissed it, but the speculations just do not go away. Add to that, Techdy has posted photos of what they claim is the actual plasticky, entry-level iPhone.

The device is encased entirely in plastic, just like what the rumors have suggested. It also looks like the original iPod, albeit with a longer display. There are also photos of the so-called budget iPhone together with the iPhone 5.

“It does not feel cheap at all,” says M.I.C Editor-in-chief Chris Chang, who is writing on behalf of the blog. “Unlike the plastic build quality of the Samsung Galaxy phones, the plastic material used on the budget iPhone feels more sturdy.”

And in what seems to be an attempt to prove they are not faking it, Techdy even posted photos of the device with its rear shell removed, exposing the display assembly and other circuitry.

The post wraps up with a pitch for Techdy’s very own Android phone using the budget iPhone’s external specs, calling it “Basic Bear,” which they are selling for $199. The Basic Bear sports a 4-inch touch screen with 1136 x 640 resolution, 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 CPU, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 1080p HD video recording, a 2-megapixel front camera, built-in Qi wireless charging, and a 2300mAh battery.
