BlackBerry also made its presence felt at the Mobile World Congress, as CEO John Chen introduced the BlackBerry Z3, which was codenamed “Jakarta”. The new smartphone will be available in Indonesia, one of BlackBerry’s biggest markets, beginning April for under $200 unlocked.

A collaboration between BlackBerry and Foxconn, the BlackBerry Z3 sports a large 5-inch high-resolution display, an all-touch interface (no physical keyboard right here), BB 10.2.1 mobile OS, a ridge soft-touch back cover, and an unspecified high-capacity battery. Other specs remain blurry, but the company promises all will be revealed in April as they officially launches the Z3 at a special launch event in Jakarta.

The initial model will only reach up to 3G radio, but Chen tells the press there will be an LTE version available to other parts of the world. When that will be? Chen jokes that it would come out “sometime before I die.”

In other news, Chen says his company are not working on any wearable device, “at least, not yet.”
