BlackBerry Tablet to Cost Less than iPad

RIM, the makers of Blackberry, has announced that its upcoming PlayBook tablet will be priced lower than US$500, a direct shot at Apple and its exorbitantly-priced iPad.

The PlayBook is said to support Flash 10.1 and HTML 5 along with 1080p hardware-accelerated video. The device also has a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, along with Micro HDMI and Micro USB connections. The HDMI can even output video to dual displays. Now we wonder if this impressive-sounding hardware would come with a just-as-impressive OS.
