Adidas officially introduces its latest wearable device. The miCoach Fit Smart was first seen during the Wearable Technologies Conference 2014 in San Francisco and is capable of measuring the wearer’s calories burned, heart rate, distance covered, pace, and other fitness-related stats.

The gadget features a strap made of soft silicone and a small strip of LEDs that change color depending on the workout’s intensity. The miCoach Fit Smart may not be Adidas’ first wearable gadget, which is becoming more crowded than ever, but the sports apparel company says its latest product has a brand-new perspective: not only it aims to appeal to die-hard runners, but also to those who like to start running and working out more consistently.

“What we did, by working with elite coaches, was bring an experience to help people set weekly goals and training plans,” Paul Gaudio, Adidas’ general manager of digital sports told Engadget. “It is about encouraging people to get active and stay active.”

The Adidas miCoach Fit Smart will be available later this month for $199.
