Of course, there will be a market for netbooks despite the surge of the iPad and other tablet computers, which we think Acer is trying to salvage.
The Aspire One AOD255, features a dual-core Atom N550 CPU, 1GB DDR3 memory, an 10.1-inch LED screen, Intel graphics chip, WiFi, 1.3-megapixel webcam, and a 250GB hard drive. Meanwhile, the Aspire One AO721 has a larger 11.6-inch screen, AMD Athlon II Neo K125 processor, 384MB ATI Radeon HD 4225 GPU, 2GB DDR3 memory, and a six-hour battery life.
The two new netbooks from Acer are expected to sell beginning this month for US$329 and $429 respectively.
