Digitimes reported that Acer is working on a frameless laptop with a touchscreen keyboard. Yes, you have heard it right.
Actually, the concept is feasible, as the manufacturer could remove the display’s frame by printing colors directly on the back of the display’s reinforced glass substrate. It has already been achieved supposedly by Fujitsu with its Frame Zero concept (pictured), although we have no word of its release. Meanwhile, several upcoming computers will feature tactile keyboards, such as the OLPC XO-3 and the Asus dual-display laptop prototype.
No word of confirmation, yet. The source, however, wrote that Acer will be launching the product during the second half of 2010.
