UK-based mobile carrier Three has added the Acer Liquid E2 to its line of budget Android smartphones. The handset features an instant shutter system, so you will never miss an opportunity to take perfect photos. It also sports a 4.5-inch screen, an 8-megapixel rear camera with HD video recording capability, dual stereo speakers with DTS sound technology, and a Daydream function that converts the display into a digital photo frame.

The Acer Liquid E2 is now available on pay-as-you-go (PAYG) service plan for £150 (around US$232) or on a two-year contract starting at £17 (about $26) per month. The PAYG plan also comes with optional “all-you-can-eat” data add-ons. For £15, the “All in One 15” plan gives 30 days of all-you-can-eat data, 300 minutes of call to any other domestic networks, and 3,000 text messages. Meanwhile the £25 “All in One 25” offers 500 minutes, 3,000 text messages, and all-you-can-eat data for 30 days.

The folks over in the UK can also avail The One Plan that provides all-you-can-eat data, as well as 2,000 minutes of talk time, 500 minutes of Three-to-Three calls, and 2,000 text messages. Three will only offer the handset from Acer in one color: white.

If you find the plans too steep, you can wait for a few weeks before Three launches the LG Optimus L1 II, a less expensive touchscreen-equipped handset for those who want to upgrade their basic mobile phones.
